Step 1: Have an Apple computer with Mac OS X.
Step 2: Get IBM Lotus Notes for Apple computers
I am using Lotus Notes 7.0.2 Beta for this tutorial. See the link on Ed Brill's Blog for details on the beta: http://www.edbrill.com/ebrill/edbrill.nsf/dx/notes-7.0.2-for-mac-beta-2-posted
**Update: The final version of Lotus Notes 7 for Mac OS X is now available for download on Passport Advantage, so upgrade your beta clients now.
The Notes Client is distributed as a disk image file with the extension .dmg. Making a double.click on that file automatically mounts that file. As a result you will see a new drive on your desktop. In my case, the new drive is named "Lotus Notes 7.02" as you can see on the screenshot.
Step 3: Install Lotus Notes
Opening the drive you will the installer. Double-click the Installer to continue.
A warning comes up, to ask if it is OK to install Notes 7 for Mac. Click "Continue".

Currently the only Installation Type available is "basic" so you will not have a Designer Client nor an Administrator Client.

Using the "Finder" you can start Notes from the applications list.
Lotus Notes will start and begin with the Client configuration.
This tutorial ends here, as the Client Configuration is the same as on Windows.
